I am refinishing my kitchen cabinets and likes to keep the hinges if possible, but I would like for them to match the silver buttons and pulls me again to install. So I was wondering I can scratch the brass plating or applying a chemical to make them lose their metallic appearance and take on more of a silvery sheen. . . even if its not bright. Only hinges after all.
