That’s pretty much it. Disable the switch, as needed, the old down, you get an idea of the cables and will be connected, depending on what we are doing everything that is. MAKS sure that the new are not too heavy and will require additional support. Then you stick the new up there, put all the screws in all the right places. All they usually have instructions that work very well when followed.

While this may be a simple task that his best option is to hire an electrician and ask to be there and learn what you need to know for next time. If you have a friend who has an electric ability is even mejor.Digo this because depending on the age of the house, etc. who built it. can run to problems like bad connection accessories, cables are too short or when you can not say what the colors of the wires. All these things can be very dangerous. It would be better to let someone “hold your hand” through it and then maybe you could win next project or you might find that they feel more comfortable with a professional.

After you turn off the power to remove the glass for the lamps and bulbs. Then unscrew the screws holding the light in place. You may have to pull it a little to see the wiring. Note that the ground wires black, white, and will then delete them. take your new accessory and put it in black, white and ground wires back in the same place the old wine. Thread the fitting into place, put the bulbs and the glass in place and enjoy your new lights. When you wire the cables make sure your new light to make good contact and that the cable is showing no lines from black or white that could cause a short circuit. good luck!

I have a similar job to do, also install a safety switch, but I can not add much to the first response, only in the UK we call connections in vivo (red or brown) and neutral (blue), some modern places are also ground (green and yellow). But I wanted to apologize for thinking you’re lying on another that responds to a question, I saw your response changed and waited for an opportunity to ask disculpas.Afortunadamente my answer was deleted as the question was blocked and could not edit.
